In 2007, six people began selling cases of wine out of the back of a pickup truck and gave the proceeds to causes around the world that needed hope. When this team noticed the impact a bottle of wine can have, they realized it was possible to raise money for causes important to them through selling wine.

ONEHOPE Wine is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that actively gives back to the local community and various non-profits across the United States. 15 years after selling wine out of a truck, ONEHOPE opened its doors to a new tasting room in Napa Valley, California. The non-profit organization focuses on funding sustainable projects centered around basic needs: food, water, health, and education on a local and national scale. In 2020, ONEHOPE hit over $500,000 donated to a single non-profit known as WhyHunger, $100,000 donated to the OLE Health Foundation, and $50,000 donated to Susan G. Komen for breast cancer research. The Napa-based wine company also sponsored 30 children with Autism to attend a summer therapy camp through Autism Care Today.

The non-profit started out the program by releasing three types of wine, each paired with a specific cause to support. Chardonnay supported breast cancer research and awareness, Carbernet Sauvignon donated to children with autism, and Merlot was correlated with AIDS treatment and prevention. In 2019, ONEHOPE supported 40 different nonprofits and connected their customers with the specific impact that is being established.

To lead customers into raising more money for important causes, ONEHOPE curated the program “Cause Entrepreneuers” to allow people to spread awareness about a specific philanthropy in their area while hosting wine tastings.

Raquel, a Cause Entrepreneur from New York, hosted virtual wine tastings to support breast cancer research after losing her mother to a battle with breast cancer when she was younger. At the close of individual fundraisers, ONEHOPE issues the checks for the non-profits within two weeks. Through this program, ONEHOPE has been able to provide donations to over 30,000 local non-profits in communities all over the world.
